How many people have to take their meds one pill at a time and how many just swallow a whole handful. I've even heard of people that don't even have to have a drink to swallow them.

I have a gag problem and I have to take them one at a time, once in awhile I can do 2 not often. I also hold them in my mouth until I get the courage to try and swollow them. I've had this problem for years, and I know its probably all in my head. Its a little frustrating. I hate taking pills.

I take all mine at once, but I need diet coke or water to wash them down.

the big ones have to go one at a time. but the smaller one I can take two or three at once.

I take some of them together - tegretol - 6 pills a day at night, Ativan 2mg 4 xs a day and transodone 100 mg twice at night with an Ativan. When my regular doc saw this he was surprised I wasn't comatose! lol!

Thanks to the 60's I learned to swallow pills without water so I could get high in Study Hall. But enough about me.......
Yeah, I take the whole batch at once. Which is bad because I've choked a few times. And when you live alone, you don't want to choke. What a stupid way to die, they'll think it was suicide. Damn.

the lamictal i have to down by itself. the rest i can take a few at a time. of course, following a wash down of water or soda.

I can pop back up to 28 without choking as long as I have some juice with me. i take a lot of herbal upkeep medicines like l theanine and coq10 as well for post lyme syndrome.

I can take tiny pills together like my synthroid and aciphex. But my Seroquel and Lamictal I have to take one at a time.

im so used to it that i can swallow up to 5 of my pills at a time. i have to have at least a sip of water though!

I have never been told otherwise so I take all 14 of them in three swallows. I just can't lay down right after I take all my pills, or I would have full on heartburn.

In the hospital they did split them up come to think of it.

gunslinger, i'm the same way with the heartburn thing. i have to have enough to drink or they all get balled up and stuck and it HURTS. haha.

They sell 650mg Trazodone pills? I am stuck with 100 mgs, so sometimes I have to take 5 of them. Now I am back down to 3, I sleep better if I take less.
