My great uncle had similar circumstances when he passed he fell and broke his hip ay 76 and never recovered from a surgery that had minimal risk. Dealing with unexpected loss is definetly difficult, sending hugs.

Sorry August is so hard for you........plz be gentle with yourself. Is there something you could do to honor your losses during August? Perhaps a little memorial or take a trip to a state park in their honor? It's just a thought.
My brother died 2 weeks before Christmas.....so I usually bake cookies and take them to the local police and fire departments as a Christmas slash memorial for my brother kinda thing.

We are spreading the ashes of my parents in August. I wanted to do it on their anniversary, but that would have been midweek, and not good for all family and friends.

My thoughts are with you Pepperman - each memorial moment brings a different kind of pain so I'm sending a big hug too. For the first time tonight, I wrote a letter to God ranting and raving about how He could have given my dad a peaceful passing instead of the terrible few weeks he spent suffering at the hands of the demonic doctors and nurses who caused him so much trauma and pain - and forced me to withhold water from him thus killing him.

I don't know if I'll be severely punished, but I don't trust God anymore - not with my future, not with mom and next week, I have to take mom to see that horrific cardiologist who works at the hospital and told me to starve my dad to death. I don't know how I will react - I feel like strangling him. At least it seems you had good healthcare for your dad - for that be thankful.

I think that God has given us free will. Sadly there are politicians who use that free will to establish systems of laws, rules and regulations that wring love and compassion out of the situation.

I wish I knew what it would take to change all those laws, rules and regulations.

pepperman, my thoughts and prayers are with you. My mom's hip killed her much as your dad's did him. She fell in the kitchen at my sister's house and ended up in LTC, never recovered and passed 5 months later. I still think about her every day and wish I could just call her on the phone, and she's been gone since 2008.

It is the 2 year anniversary of my mom's death tomorrow, August 3rd.
