Recently Lost the Love of My Life

Needing help and support. I don't know how much longer I can let this pain and heartbreak consume me. Losing him so suddenly has me at a loss with life. Its not supposed to be this way. We had a life planned together. He was not supposed to be taken from me. Im scared. I feel helpless and lost.

There is a widow/widower support group on DS that is very supportive. It is for partners, fiancs, etc., as well. (((Big hug)))

I know how hard it is for you I lost my husband seven weeks ago today to AML and I am struggling to get thru some days. I feel like I am alone and if it weren't for my job I would go mad! I have three shelties who are love of my life and greet me at the door. I hate going home and him not there to talk to. I know it will never be the same ever, but he would want me to go forward and smile once in a while and have a somewhat normal life. He told me right before he died he knew I was strong and I would be o.k. and he could go in peace knowing that. Please any time you need to talk send me a note.

It will get better! You do get stronger. The end of this month, will mark a year since I lost my husband of nearly 35 years. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and soon you will get use to the new normal. Soon everyday won't be full of tears and pain, that does lessen as time goes by. I wish you strength! Liz

It hurts like hell and you will feel like ending your own life, but know this.... Over time it does get better. He would want you to be happy and live life. You have to let yourself feel everything, but remind yourself that time eases pain. overtime it will get easier, you will always miss him, but you will begin to enjoy life again. It sucks, there is no doubt about it, but I know he is watching over you and he does not want to see you hurting so horribly.

I just lost my husband of 32 years a week ago today so I feel your pain. We only had each other and I am so lost. I am trying to put one foot in front of the other and move forward a little each day as I know he would not want me to hurt so bad. We have to believe they remain with us always in our hearts and memories. Know that you are not alone in your pain. By sharing our stories and experiences hopefully we will get through this together.

    I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now.  I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed.  So many bad things have happened since my mom passed.  One thing after another it seems.  Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up.  Thank...
