This past week I went on a wonderful cross-country ski trip with my closest friends. It is a trip that we have taken for 18 consecutive years. We have headed to various destinations but often go to upstate New York to the Tug Hill Plateau area because they have the best snow in the East. This year was no different.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and all the stores are loaded with hearts.
There are the candy hearts, teddy bears holding hearts, heart boxes loaded with chocolates, red and pink balloons and of course, heart-inspired jewelry. It is all so romantic and yet so heart breaking.

I am so lonely and missing Sue so much. It's coming up to the 6 month on the 17th, which feels so long ago yet it can feel like yesterday.

Sunday. Ooh! Stiff neck! Slept till 10:30, dreamed (drempt?) about strangely spiritual stuf. I've always has strange dreams - sober or not. In this one J was alive, but we were being chased by zombies and I was trying to tell him he could just "pray they away"...... In the dream, it was working, then I woke up.
