my 28 yr old son was shot and killed in sept of 2016 . as of dec 2017 there have still not been arrests altho i do believe the police have targets and are building case . " jake " was my hope for a smooth old age . id hoped to give him this home and property and live out my final years in the basement . he had an 8 day old son when he was murdered . young " nick " . nick is a year old now and i still havent met him . im not dealing with anyone until i know who is friend and who is foe .
im a small town indiana man . this kind of violence is rare here . fortunately our major crime task group boasts a 95% homicide clearance rate . somebody will fry but its not going to bring my son back .

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
DS is a good site ..... There is also a group called Parents of Murdered Children that might be a good source of support for you..... A RL group might help...

I lost my 19 year old son in 2006 and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of him.

jake and i were particularly close . after my divorce in 2001 him and i stuck together , tore down an old house and built ourselves another one . this house was meant to be for him and his young family as i retired to the basement to enjoy my inevitable senility . we had a good plan .
if justice goes down like i think it will young nick might be placed here by the courts . they have already ordered he be given my last name ( i think ) in anticipation of that eventuality .
im 59 years old and dont want to raise another kid but if its deemed the best situation for nick ill do whatever i have to do .
