I just found out tonight that my grandmother died. She lived 4 hours away from me, so I couldn't be with her. She was my father's mother. Ironically, the anniversary of my father's death was on the 13th of February. I'm a bit overwhelmed right now.

I am so very sorry for your loss. No matter if it is expected or out of the blue, it is never easy. Do you have family near you? I found that to be a huge comfort.

Thanks, you two. Yes, I do have family close by. It's my dad's side that is far away, but my mother's side is close. I'm sure the funeral will be this week, though.

I am so sorry for your loss. Both my father and my maternal grandmother have passed away. The anniversary of my grandmothers death is 2/5 and the anniversary of my fathers death is 2/15. They happen a few years apart but their anniversaries are close together. I'm sure it feels overwhelming right now but it gets better. Day by day, month by month, year by year, we find a new normal.

I am sorry for your deep loss. I lost my grandmother six years ago, and I think about her everyday. At first, the pain was very overwhelming, but with time, I have been healing. Just take it one day at a time.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
