I'm not sure how to start off. My mom passed away in April of 2001. I know I probably should be over my mom's death but I can't seem to get to a point when I should be with losing my mom. Sometimes I feel like I should deal with it better than I am now. It will be 6 years this year and I still cry every day at times. I'm getting married next month and I'm afraid I'm going to ruin the day by crying. I need to talk wtih someone who understands the pain of losing a loved one. I wish my mom could hear me talking to her, I wish she could be here when things get rough, I wish she could give me advice. I am losing the battle of keeping myself together and I just need some help. Any suggestions anyone out there? Help!

I just lost my mom a week ago and she and I were extremely close. I've been told that grieving is a process and that everyone goes through it differently and "heal" at different points in the process. You'll always miss your mother but at some point it won't hurt as much. I'm sure as you and your new husband begin your new life together, you will smile again.

The grieving process takes time its okay what you feel don't be hard on yourself thats not needed.Grief is hard and pain hurts.Everyone has there own time table.Your feelings are quite normal have you considered couseling it has helped me very much, this website is also a blessing and explore what's there. Also family, and friends can be helpful. My mother died in 1990 when I was 23 she was 58 young 16 years its still hurts. My brother died in 1999 he was 47 very young. My daddy died in July 05 from stomach cancer its still devasting and hard. The losses are still painful whether recent or not.God Bless take care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see a common thread as I read through alot of the posts. People always feel that they should be over the death of their mother or father quickly or even after a few years. Our parents have been with us since we took our first breaths. They raised us all throughout our lives. I believe that we never get over their loss but I also believe that it does get easier, and that it will heal but the scars will always be with us. But I believe with all my heart that your mom is watching over you and that she will definantly be watching over you on all of your special days

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
