So Fathers day is just a couple days away, and I would be lying if I said I was okay with that. I'm not. I have no idea how I will even get through that day. I have choir and then work, and I'm sure I could have gotten work off, but I really can't afford to and what else am I going to do, sit home and cry? This is one day that I wish I could just sleep through. My birthday was hard to deal with because I didn't get a birthday hug, but this...I just don't know. This past week has been so hard, and I haven't been able to concentrate on anything, and a few mistakes at work could cause major issues with companies, so I had to try to be strong at work and forget all of my pain, but I can't.
I left church crying last week because they said "Make sure to be here next Sunday to celebrate dad"
I would skip, but mom really wants to go, and I know she can't handle it without me. I don't know...I guess I am just ranting and I don't really expect any replies...I just feel like my heart is shattering more and more...I thought healing came with time...not more pain...

I pray there's a nice Father's Day party in heaven for dad and that he can have his favorite foods again (if there's eating there). Every year I would buy him a card and something special and treat him for lunch, and now there's a big big hole in my life. Whenever I meet someone who we haven't seen since last year, they ask how my parents are, and I just tear up because it's so hard to tell them dad is no longer with us.
Despite all advice, I will always remember him, and that we are one family in spirit. I think of him as having moved to another country and that I'll be going to see him soon.
Praying for all who have lost their father - I know you love him a lot and it's a sad sad day ...
