Gosh, I'm so sorry for your loss. you are just asking questions we all ask but don't have the answers for. For sure though death is harder for the living.I remember where I was 2 months later after Chris died, oh my God, I was just so devastated. I still am but the pain back then was so intense I thought I would die. Now I just so profoundly miss him. One day they're here, the next gone. Yes, I do believe that he knows that he is dead... because he is basking in God's awesome light, right now.
I believe, in my heart, that he is so surrounded by love at this very minute... and not just any love, but God's UNCONDITIONAL love.

I will pray that God helps you to get through this. (praying now)

just to ask that question tells me that he spirit is so strongly with you. I think he knows - but I think he misses you and wants to be with you - so he still is. Talk to him - tell him you love him - take him with you wherever you go - I think he really wants to be with you.

I do believe he is with you, Kelly......as someone else said, talk to him, he will feel you are with him and supporting him and he can support you....

the first thing a mom asks herself is this question...i know, i did. and then i found out joey, my son, is fine. a lot of ways, he showed me, and practically knocked me off my feet yelling in my head that he was okay. a good book that talks about this is Walking in the Garden of Souls by George Anderson. know that many of us on here know how you are feeling now and embrace you with all our hearts.

another note...i believe with all my heart they are in so much joy there are no words to put it into human language...and they dont miss us, because they can be with us anytime they want to....we miss them, but as joey said to me once.."mom, it was just my body i let go of, it was like i took a suit off thats all"..

that is so lovely, to think they can whizz and be with us, but are not unhappy without us - I love to think this.......a friend of mine has written a little booklet that she said came from her brother, through her mother and it says just this, that they can be with us at any point....I do much like to feel this, and I hope, Kelly, that you feel this as Mari and others do.....though of course the missing of him physically has to be coped with....which is TOUGH...

When it's really quick and sudden, I wonder whether people know right away that they're dead too.

I believe they know they are without their earthly bodies. But they are dressed in their glorified bodies. I believe that they would not come back from glory if God told them that they could return. Why leave paradise to go to the jungle? They are with God interceding on our behalf asking God to grant us His grace and love here on earth until we join them in heaven.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious son. I believe that anyone that passes away knows they are gone from this earth, but they are not sad. There is no sadness,pain, lonliness etc in heaven, only joy. His body was left behind, but I believe he is loving every minute in his new eternal life. Unfortunately, we here that are left behind are the miserable ones and it is normal. Someone that we loved so much is no longer with us in body, but I believe they will always be with us in spirit. No one can take that away from us. Take care of yourself, smile,and keep your chin up for Kelly. Remember there are people who care about you and so does God. My prayers are with you.

I don't believe the dead go to heaven when they die. The bible says the dead know nothing. It also says the dead in Christ shall arise first when Jesus comes and will go to heaven then and that is going to be very soon,

I just finished reading a book titled: Lessons from the Light Extrodinary Messages of Comfort and Hope from the Other Side written by: George Anderson.
After my mom died unexpectently I have started searching within my self, and reading up on this kind of subject. My dad died Feb. 9, 2005; my mom April 25, 2007.

I am so sorry for your loss. i lost my son to suicide last may 07. I saw him once in the computer chair where he always liked to sit, but this was after he was gone for awhile.
I believe that they struggle at first being dead because it is a shock to them. Suicide, accidents, or murders are the ones where the person is unsure of what happened. i believe they have to be healed in heaven of their sorrows etc. before they can come back and watch over us. Once they are healed i think they flit back and forh so every so often you may get a glimpse or maybe a sign.
