I don't understand alot about death all I do know is that one day we will understand all that happens in our lives good or bad. In the meantime I just hold on to the promises of God that we will see our loved ones again. I hold onto to God and all that he is and he gives me peace my heart. I love you and will be praying for you.

When my oldest son died of suicide about one year ago, I dreamt that he was with me. He was walking with his arm around me very tightly as I was crying uncontrollably. He was trying to comfort me, but no words were spoken. I woke up still feeling his arm around me.
In answer to your question, I do think those who have passed know they died - but it isn't a big deal to them. They are with us, like always - I feel both of my son's around me, at different times. I'm sure that is their way of comforting me. Those left behind are the ones who are so horrifically wounded and I think it troubles them that we are so full of grief.
But grief and loss is what it is, and I know someday I will tolerate my oldest son's death as I have done with my second son's death 16 years ago. Losing two sons in my lifetime still brings me to my knees. I think of them constantly and I miss them. peace, Shirley
