Absolutely everyday i think it can't/ isn't true that my son is dead.

I really have alot of trouble believing it and probably always will.

The only thing that brings back the reality is his creamated remains.

All the time - I look at the photos around the house of me and him and I ask myself how can he be dead ? We look so happy...........

when my mom died, 11 years ago, about 10 months after she died, the phone rang, while i was sleeping, i thought it was her on the line, i kept calling her name, and i thought i had dealt with her death.death is so finial, it is so difficult, because i think we keep thinking , we will see that person again.

I don't the finality ever really hits home all the way. I just can't seem to wrap my brain around the fact that Trenton is gone. It seems like such an impossible thing. And sooo wrong. Hang in there though.

Sometimes it seems like a sureal dream, it's all happening but it doesn't seem like it. My dad's bedroom is a lot emptier, his clothes I started are packed in a few boxes. I still expect to hear him at night going to the bathroom or coughing. It is so sad at times I break down falling asleep crying.

absolutely. i look at my moms photos who has been gone for 5 yrs. and still think once i go home she will be there to give me a hug and tell me she loves me. cause all i want is her to be here. but she cant. =[

i've lost seven people (grandparents, co-workers, students) in one year and NONE of it is real yet.

I lost my mother two months ago. Nearly everyday I have to remind myself of that. I have had dreams that I am talking to her and we both know she is dead but we are just talking. I've also had dreams that I am getting ready to call her and then say, Oh no, that lady in the box, that was her, she's gone! Some of the dreams she just hugs me. So between not wanting her to be gone and seeing her every night in my sleep, it is hard to realize that this is real. That she's not coming back. I still think that my daughter's great-grandmother is just gone on a trip, she passed away New Year's Eve 2005.

I don't know if this feeling ever goes away.
Yesterday my 8 year old daughter found a picture of herself, from the day she came home from the hospital- my mother is holding her. She breaks down and cries, too, and I don't know what to say to her. She talks about how hard the holidays will be. I think seeing the pictures (the recent healthy looking pictures of her) is one of the hardest things and most confusing. She was fine, just a short while ago, then she was dying. How does that happen? It seems like death should be a quick thing or a long drawn out thing that takes years. Hers was supposed to be six months or more and turned into just 1 1/2 months. So we still had to go through the process of knowing death might come, but when it came, it came so much quicker than anyone expected- including the doctors that were trying to save her.

It's been 9 months since my husband has been gone and I still haven't accepted it. It feels like one big nightmare. I say to myself every day I just want my husband to come back but sadly there is nothing that I can do to bring him back.

Just today on my lunch break I was listening to a Christian radio program "Marriage Monday" (I always used to listen to it before my husbands accident) in my mind I wanted to take some of the advice and just go home and hug him and tell him how much I love him. Then reality set in again. I looked into my rear view mirror only to see the memorial sticker with his name on my back window. The mind and heart just doesn't want to accept it. It has been 11 1/2 months for me.

My mother has been dead for four + years. My father died this past Aug. This will be my first year going through Christmas without both of my parents. May sound strange, but I can feel them both near me at times. A year or so ago it right in the middle of summer. 95+ degrees outside and I get the chill bumps for no good reason. Since that day if get the chill bumps I think thats my Mom and Dad telling me that they're here with me and I WONT be alone this year for Christmas. [besides my family that is still alive]

I don't think we ever get over the loss of someone dear to us. And I also don't believe they ever truely leave our side. We may not be able to see them, but they're always there....

this is my issue matter of fact at this very moment. i looked at a pic and i try so hard to visualize my mother being alive again. and i fail every time to comprehend that she was alive and real...and it hurts me so much in the end

Sometimes I just ask Jim a question and wait for his reply. Sometimes I get it in a dream or in another way. It is hard to accept that he is gone, but I know I must work toward this.

WHEN I'M WATCHING SHOWS I USED TO WATCH, LIKE WRESTLING TONIGHT(SHE'D WATCH THE LIFETIME MONDAY MOVIE), DURING COMMERCIALS I'D GO TALK TO HER, OR SHE TO ME. SOMETIMES IT'S LIKE I'M WAITING FOR HER TO COME INTO THE LIVING ROOM TO GIVE ME A KISS & HUG.
