Bedwetting Support Group
Bedwetting (or nocturnal enuresis or sleepwetting) is involuntary urination while asleep. It is the normal state of affairs in infancy, but can be a source of embarrassment when it persists into school age or the teen or adult years. Find others who are coping with a bedwetting problem and share your experiences and questions.

Hi group,
Since DS has announced it will be discontinuing on-site chat effective in a week or so, the temptation for many people will be to try to chat with DS friends off-site, on Yahoo, AOL, or another service. This is just a friendly reminder to stay safe if you choose to do so!
DS has said they will not accept abuse reports from activity that takes place off-site, so remember that if you do choose to chat with someone on another site, DS will not be able to intervene if the person does something that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Here are a few reminders to stay safe:
1. Get to know someone using tools available on DS (private messages, hug, bulletin boards) BEFORE you agree to chat with them elsewhere! Remember if you give out your contact information on another service, you are giving the person access to any and all information (profiles, other public activity) on that service. Make sure there's nothing on there you wouldn't want the other person to see before you agree to chat with them there!
2. DON'T ever under any circumstances give out any personal information, including your last name or the city in which you live unless you would be comfortable with this person showing up at your front door! And remember that this includes profile information if you choose to give the person access to other accounts on other sites!
3. If a person says or asks ANYTHING that makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, let them know and ask them ONE time to stop. If they continue to do things that make you uncomfortable after asking them to stop, block or delete them, and report them if possible (most sites allow this option in some form).
4. Remember that anyone you chat with online may not really be who they say they are! Even if a person tells you their age, gender, or location, don't assume that any of this information is true!! The anonymity of the internet allows people to maintain very elaborate false identities with little to no chance of being caught. So don't give out any personal information (especially pictures) to someone you don't know in real life!!
It's understandable, especially with difficult and embarrassing issues like bedwetting, to want to chat with others who can understand what you're going through in private rather than in public. Just remember to take a few basic precautions like this and you can make sure to stay safe as you do! :)
