I have had a very similar experience with overactive bladder. I was getting up 2-3 times a night. Since I started wearing diapers I am sleeping so much better! I still wake up a bit, but can use the diaper and go right back to sleep. I think getting quality sleep outweighs the issue of wearing diapers. Much better a wet diaper than a wet bed. I use A & D Ointment. Make sure you use some kind wipe and clean the diaper area well and then apply the ointment.

I can't sleep unless I am wearing a diaper. If i do not have any protection I am to worried about the bed getting soaked.

Wearing a diaper has not made my wetting worse but it is a factor. I have had a neurological bladder for years and wetting myself. The doctors have tried so many things to stop it. I am sick of it. I used to fight wearing a diaper. Now that I accept I am not going to get better, I wear diapers without shame and know I am less ashamed. I don't even try to make it to restroom. I fell better about me and sleep all through the night.

I have wet the bed for so long now that I can't really sleep without a diaper on. No good can come from that.

Maybe... well once I realised it wasn't going to stop I kinda gave up. At first it was just at night but now it's much worse and I often have to wear nappies during the day. It's actually gotten to the point where I don't feel comfortable if I'm not wearing a nappy when I go out.

Wearing a nappy keeps our bed reasonably dry at night and I stay comfortable and get a good nights sleep. I must admit I do think once I started wearing a nappy or pad at night I soon lost any control I had. I seldom wake up dry now but for me it was better than periodically soaking the bed.

My feeling is once you have to resort to nappies or pads it signals the brain to stop control of your bladder. I had no option really but to start wearing pads at night otherwise our bed would be soaking wet several nights a week . My continence advisor suggested my wife waking me at timed intervals but that wasn't an option we both need our sleep to do our jobs properly. After more discussion I was issued pads on the NHS but I have to admit once I started wearing them every night it wasn't long before I was wetting every night. Once I started wetting most nights my daytime control soon started to diminsh as well. I went from some dribbling and dripping to sometimes wetting without warning or having any control over it. For me wearing pads most of the time is the best way of dealing with my incontinence but have to admit it has made it worse although more manageable.

I think it does make it worse. I wear diapers thru the day and always find myself wetting them while driving. At night I wear ATN diapers and always finish in them when i wake up. Not sure why but I feel the need to go is much more present when wearing diapers. Just scared not to wear them now.

This is something that always plays on my mind.
I’ve had to wear a diaper to bed for so long now I worry my body doesn’t know any different. I can’t help but think if I can get out of them and get a couple of dry nights it’ll lead to not needing them anymore. Every so often I get my hopes up and try but it always goes wrong.

I’m 14 and I wear drynites to bed. I think they do make me pee more at night. But becouse I have a small bladder I don’t soak mine enough to wake me up. Sometimes I wake up while going and I just think that there’s no point in going to the toilet when I’ve already started in my nappy so I just finish the wee in my nappy. And I know that’s not a good habit but it’s simething I do. Hope it healed x

From my experience wearing diapers has the bid plus that you don’t need to fear a wetting accident at night or during day. The new diapers are absorbent enough to cope with all types of wetting and cope well with poo too.
I can understand everyone who decides to stay diapered night and day and even to use it for both.

I sure don,t have the answer started off small amounts but now wet a lot so per my wife stay diapered to keep things dry.
