Bedwetting Support Group
Bedwetting (or nocturnal enuresis or sleepwetting) is involuntary urination while asleep. It is the normal state of affairs in infancy, but can be a source of embarrassment when it persists into school age or the teen or adult years. Find others who are coping with a bedwetting problem and share your experiences and questions.
All of this convinced me to help others. I started a small shop selling soaker pads designed as blankets for young ones, as well as preteens. I have more designs coming, and I hope it will help people out. I wish I had this, its designed to act as a blanket without anyone knowing its a soaker pad. I remember growing up and telling my aunt I would sleep in a garbage bag so I would not wet her bed.. she told me never in your life will you ever with me....Its things like that really helped me. Being a kid or teen is hard enough when you also have to deal with accidents. I got really good at hiding it, but I also had a hard time opening up to people growing up. So having your parent or loved one buy this would really make one feel loved, supported, and understood; especially when things in life are tough enough as it is. I also custom make them to be any size you want or style. The mediums you can really wrap yourself up in and walk to the bathroom without leaking everywhere. My best advice to any parent or caregiver is to be patient, get informed, help them get into a routine during the day and at night(my parents woke up every 2-3 hours at night to bring me to the washroom, it did help because I then started to wake up on my own, but I still had accidents until I was 15). Everyone is different and having your child or preteen wear diapers while they are out might make them feel terrible about themselves, (bring extra clothes and wipes) We live only once and what our caregivers do really impact us. Be dedicated, let them feel like it will be ok, that you will get through this together, teach them to me independent, and get informed. I know its hard on the caregivers, so teach them to clean up after themselves (its a must), it will give them confidence and feel like they are less of a burden. The pads I make really soak up well, if your loved one moves around a lot a bigger size is recommended.
