You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

So after 20 years with trich I am now 10 months pull free.
A few months ago I wrote a discussion in the trich support group about what I was doing to try and control this awful disorder, and I'm basically still following that: http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Trichotillomania_Hair_Pulling/forum/20233925-pull-free-7-months
I said this to someone else that messaged me last week, but I think the biggest new thing in how I view trich now is the probability of relapse part. If / when I pull again and end up back at 0 days pull free, it won't be the pull that constitutes success / failure, it will be how I deal with it, how much I pull out before i catch it, reset and start again. I'm aiming for pull free forever, but I'd also settle with measuring long term success in the time between attacks, and how quickly I sort myself out to go again. I think that's probably the key to getting your hair back in the long term.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!
