Unfortunately it seems with me and my condition that every treatment works for a while then it doesn't The first time I took hydrocodone it worked well, but I felt high, which wasn't good. Then the nerve pain came back slowly in about a year, so I was put on other medications. this medication definitely should not be given or taken by anyone who has/had an addiction because of the high potential for abuse/addiction.

I take percocet which is hydrocodone with tylenol as my break through pain med. but i've had to up my dose over the years due to tolerance. we have tried nuerontin, Cymbalta, and Lyrica and noe worked. In fact the Neurontin made me feel suicidal.
so, I try to deal with it , some days i hardly need any and other days i need to take it twice. i do also have flexeril and or valium to use for spasms.
The other thing for me about the hudrocodone has been awful constipation. I have to battle that everyday with diet and I also take aloe vera juice which aides in digestion. I was wondering if anyone else had issues with thier stomachs and/or constipation?

First I want to warn kristaroo03 about neutron. I took it for about 5 years and it really messed up my mind! I had slurred speeche and many, many times I would be talking and for the life of me I would forget words! It was terrible and very embarrasing as I worked with the public!! I don't think it should be prescribed for anyone. Just be careful, okay? Plus, it didn't do a darn thing for me! I am taking hydrocodone 4 x a day. They are only 5 mg. and don't really help much. I also take oxycontin 20mg. 3 x day. That works better than anything i have taken to date. Good luck all!!

never worked for me even with other meds.
