Back Pain Support Group
Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek medical care. In fact, about 3 in 4 adults will experience back pain during their lifetime! The term back pain includes pain affecting the neck, midback and low back. Acute back pain may begin suddenly with intense pain but typically lasts fewer than three months. This may sound weird & odd but for the last 10 years, I have been creating Artworks from my very own MRI photos of my Lumbar spine. I have made T-shirts, mugs & even a few license plates which I proudly display on the front of my car every spring. But the oddest and my most favorite item is the plastic Lumbar Vertebrae that I mount in the center of my hood protector as a hood ornament. I don't do this for pity. I do this for myself. It makes me laugh & if others don't like it of find it sick, well...TFB for them. I even wrote a humorous song years ago named 'The Sciatica Blues'.
All of these replies are right on the money. YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!!! Take that out of your mind. Whatever has gotten you to the place you;re in wasn't self inflicted, you can't help it.
Do the best that YOU can do in your life and know that there are many others out there in the same boat - most likely all of us.
Sometimes I will ask ppl how they truly feel, if they are ever in pain etc. It's hard to imagine not being in pain. There are millions of ppl just like us.
What I do is pray to the Lord for Him to give me more good days than bad, and He does that usually. Some days Iook good and healthy so I see it and I imagine it is true.
I so wish that there was an easy answer for all of us, but I think we ultimely deal with pain and the complications that come with it the best that we can do.
Prays and hugs and a warm cup of cocoa for you tinight and maybe, just maybe tomorrow you will feel a bit better. As to the griping thing - we all do it from time to time so we can survive, You will get your own "groove" to where you should be,
God bless you and all of us Jasp.

I've always been a hard worker and I just cannot give up on the hope that I will be able to go back to work. I'm on Worker's comp and can barely make ends meet, I don't see how I could do it with SS payments. I don't live lavishly but there is rent to pay, phone, etc and food is nice.
I hate being at home, taking meds all the time - my daughter calls me House, losing energy and desire to do much of anything. It's nice to have a place to go when I'm low without being called a drama queen. Thanks to all. Hope you have a low to no pain day.
During the time I am working on these pieces, My mind is not on the pain, but when I am done...it's the heating pad or the pool!! Relief!!
