Ironically, hysterectomy (which is sometimes done for endometriosis although it's not a cure) leads to chronic back pain. Hip and rib cage pain as well as numbness in legs and feet is also common. Our sex organs (uterus and ovaries) have essential lifelong functions just as a man's do. Their job isn't over when childbearing is complete. Read my profile if you want to know how hysterectomy affected me. Click on the link on my profile to watch the video of the functions of the female organs.
I can't imagine the chronic pain of endo but hope that most women can find treatments that give them enough relief without having to resort to hysterectomy which may not help and will likely cause more or different problems.
