I can relate, I feel pain but it isn't anywhere near as bad a s what the pain level is by mid-day or evening then the level is in the 8 or 9 range. As the day goes on the pain and stiffness goes up as does the inability to do anything.Yes it is frustrating, and not the best way to spend the rest of our lives.

What do you take for pain?

I feel pain when I start to move, it hurts, but the more I move, the better it gets. Mine is muscle inflamation from overdoing. I cannot take meds. cuz of the meds I am on for afib. I hurt alot today, so I am trying to take it ease...can't sit too long either, Hugs

All the time, and now things are getting worse that I am off my pain medications. Try to pace yourself, do one thing, take a break, do thing 2, take a break, and so on. I am not too good at that, I do not want to accept that it hurts. Good luck!

I take Loritab for pain.I used to take morphine,I finally winged myself off the morphine(thank you Jesus)I have been offered just about everything and i refuse to live my life in a daze.Lyrica helps with the pain as well and is a great mood enhancer.Hot baths seem to help relieve some of the tension and pain.Hope this helps.

I personally take Morphine 3x daily Diludid 3 tabs as needed , Robaxin 4x a day and Celebrex 1 daily They do all help me to at least kinda function through the day as best as I can. It is nothing like I was 20 years ago (but who is?).

Brenda, I am so sorry for what you are going through -you are NOT alone. Eash dayis different and I am in pain most of the time with little or no relief. I am blessed with my husband that has supported me throughout this whole ordeal! Today was bad and I called my doctor and set up an appointment to have an epidual block steriod which I hope will give me some relief for a bit so as to exercise and build upmuscle and tissue that was affected by my surgery. I am scarred and apprehensive Nitetime pain is horrible and I sleep sitting up which is not good but it's the only comfortable position right now and tonite will be no exception I have burning stabbing stinging hot throbbing pain from my left buttockls all the way down to my toes which tingle and go numb and my leg and foot swells up and feels so tight! Pain meds do not help I hope that your pain subsides soon and that you receive relief The pain is horible and Idoknow what you are going through. I can totally relate to you. When I get up I am feeling "ok" after 3-4 hours I am done, for the most part, for the day. That is why I try to have my Dr appt done in the AM. Then I need to take the pain meds. If the Dr appt is in the PM then I am in some real pain by time I get home,and I also take percocet for pain meds.

Thanks all of you Sounds we are all in same boat. What can we do? I have a small poodle, Precious. Thankful she is pad trained but she likes to get out and go down street when it is sunny but do not feel like taking her. I feel bad for her.

I believe our pets know when we are in pain, not that she does not want to go out...I think they understand. It took awhile for my previously feral cat, but he did figure it out, and is less demanding when I hurt alot.

i take morphine 3 x a day gabapentin 3 x a day Hydrocodone as needed and robaxin 3x a day...along with all of my psych meds...my back pain is so bad i cant even unload and load my damn dishwasher without having to sit down...i have a rollenator which helps because i can sit down...frustrating i tell ya. but i know all of you understand how i feel...i just cant find any relief right now only by sitting for short periods of time...as far as me taking for granted all of the "little" things i used to be able to do, like cooking, putting on my shoes and socks, sweeping mopping, sex dusting, cleaning, chopping wood showering etc, i cant do them now...even standing in the mirror putting on mascara is a chore my back hurts sooo bad i just tear up and rely on my Care Provider to do the things i cant...all i can do now is grit my teeth, take my meds and keep telling myself that i can get thru this

I feel your pain. I am only 25 and living with this problem since I was 12. Ive learned that I cant do what everyone else can and when I do dishes or chores I have to limit the amount I do otherwise my back stiffens and I get horrible shooting pains. Try stretching as much as you can to help with it. I have degenrative cartilage disease so mine is mostly in the lower back and knees.

I dont' think I can add any new suggestions but I just wanted to confirm you are not alone. I have been like this for years, since i was diagnosed with FMS over 15 years ago. Morning is my best time of day. I have the least pain (except for about a year after sciatica hit). I am good for a couple of hours then it starts and slowly gets worse all day, whether I do much or not. I use the heating pad, ice packs and laying down for relief but the pain doesn't usually go away completely until some time during the night. I take oxycontin 30 mg per day, celebrex 1 per day, Lyrica 300 mg per day and percocet as needed and I still have alot more pain than I think is acceptable. Sad, that sounds like my day. I went to doc in box Monday and he did some xrays but will know more today. I have been in this situation since December 25. He gave me two shots and referred me to ortho but I have appt with pain dr/neuro feb 21.

I get up and walk to the kitchen in the morning and go to the bathroom and before i can get dressed Im in so much pain. I dread even having to get out of bed because I know how my day will be. Painful, Im so tired of liveing like this Ive had to give up everything just about. Im perscribed lortab but they make me throw up so I dont take them
