Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Oh peg, you are funny, replying to the wrong thread, ha ha.
I'm sure you all understand, I'm still trying to learn to live with this, and so I'm afraid to do anything. Which means I feel out of shape. It's funny though how I keep meeting people, strangers who are helpful. While returning my holter monitor today, my husband had to take Aiden, (3) to the potty. I met some ladies, and I have no idea why, but I told her about the stress test, and that I have no idea why I'd be stressed. Maybe since I tend to be a competitive person, I don't want to feel like an ass if I can't prove I am good at it. I know, really dumb. But you know, the lady told me to maybe do some yoga, I need to chill and that she did it for years and it really helped her out with things like this. I'm sure she's right. So, today, I didn't go home. We took the little guy to a thrift store, to a whole foods market and I even ate an ice cream on a bench in the sun. It was organic, blah, blah, blah. The most junk you'll see me eat. We took him to a park, and I met some more nice people. So, maybe that seems normal to you all, but well, those simple things were more relaxing. So much at home to do. Plus, my husband was nicer. He actually fixed my food before we left, making sure I kept my blood sugar level, (which checked out great by the way) he filled my water jug that I carry, and well, he was acting more normal, like a husband should act. Maybe just getting out of the house was a good thing.
Wednesday a farm in Meade Valley, Thursday I meet the owner of Organic Pastures Dairy in Temecula.
So, I'm trying to add more activity to my life, since I find it's helping my mind somewhat to try not to do the pity party thing. I'm sure I'll do it again, and you'll hear about it, LOL! Sometimes at night my heart will wake me. I find if I move around it helps. But then who in heck wants to move around in the middle of the night. I swear I'm afraid I'll trip or run into something.
Yoga, isn't 48 kind of low for a HR? Not that I really know, but mines like almost twice that I think.
thanks all
Glad strangers showed you kindness. Always good to hear!!
