Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

I think just finally going into the homestretch is a great relief and the anxiety is less than you expect, at least it was for me. May peace settle around your shoulders like a cloak and keep your heart as calm as possible as you count down the days/hours/minutes!
It looks like you will have some very good, furry support after the ablation and, of course, you have support here, too if you need it!
Take care

I also love your dog, Abby, she is so cute:)

As everyone has said, I wish you a successful ablation. Wishing you a speedy recovery!!
Just take it easy afterwards to ensure a full recovery!

How are you doing now w/o the Diltiazem? Are you in NSR now? Do you have extra treats for Abby for when you get home?
Trent Taylor. Sounds like a country artist name (at least it does to a Jersey boy who knows very little about country music). Here's a country video filmed in Asbury Park, New Jersey. A country song. Play it on the morning of your ablation... Rascal Flatts. "Feels Like Today". I like this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VzUETZBvsw
I woke up this morning
With this feeling inside me that I can't explain
Like a weight that I've carried
Been carried away, away
But I know something is coming
I don't know what it is
But I know it's amazing, you save me
My time is coming
And I'll find my way out of this longest drought
[Chorus:]
It feels like today
I know it feels like today I'm sure
It's the one thing that's missin'
The one thing I'm wishin'
The last sacred blessin'
It feels like today
Feels like today
You treat life like a picture
But its not a moment frozen in time
It's not gonna wait
Til you make up your mind, at all
So while this storm is breaking
While there's light at the end of the tunnel
Keep running towards it
Releasing the pressure, that's my heartache
Soon this dam will break
[Chorus x2]
Feels like, feels like your life changes
Feels like feels like your life changes
It's the one thing that's missin'
The one thing you're wishin'
The last sacred blessin'
Feels like today
Feels like
Feels like your life changes
Feels like
Feels like your life changes
Good luck!

Petey, Really like the song. It relates so much to people with conditions like A-fib. I will put it on my phone since I will be a couple of nights at Duke.
Tomorrows Dream, I dont know if they will use the robot at duke. Did not think to ask them that. Another thing with this afib you actually have to think like a doctor as your second career. My wife and I are planning on a second try if the first one does not work going in. If the first one works that will be icing on the cake.
Thanks everyone for the constant encouragement I have been able to get from this board.
