Thanks across the pond and yogacat. The dog is Abby. We do therapy work at several places sround here. We have had to stop beause of me getting dizzy bending over. Thats when I decided to go ahead with the ablation. A-fib can change your life in so many ways.

It sure can change out lives and shrink it terribly, especially of you're symptomatic like I and many of us are/were. Wishing you good success, and may you sense the good wishes and prayers of those of us who will be thinking about you and waiting to hear how you're doing.

I think just finally going into the homestretch is a great relief and the anxiety is less than you expect, at least it was for me. May peace settle around your shoulders like a cloak and keep your heart as calm as possible as you count down the days/hours/minutes!

Thats a-fib for you, mean little scoundrel! I had to adjust my life too after a-fib hit (it took me about 4 months to realize this just wasnt working sometimes I can be a little slow ;-)) After reading some of the positive stories on this site (and a couple of other things happening) I decided, like you, to go for it!

It looks like you will have some very good, furry support after the ablation and, of course, you have support here, too if you need it!

Thanks everyone for the kind support. It really helps to read the posts. May we all live a long life with NSR. Talked to a fellow today who showed me his chest scars. He said they took his heart out repaired it and put it back in and is doing fine. Kinda puts things into perspective.

Good luck, Trent. I had two ablations. The first without the robot, and it only lasted hours. The second one I had two years ago, and I'm still in sinus rhythm. I hope your ablation is a huge success.

Yogacat, Im felling kinda crappy with out my Diltiazem. I am in A-fib now and have been since my failed Cardioverson a Month and half ago. Abby and I are real close she gets to many treats now. She's a rescue. A farmer almost ran over her mowning his field. Now shes a therapy dog. She has her own story.
Petey, Really like the song. It relates so much to people with conditions like A-fib. I will put it on my phone since I will be a couple of nights at Duke.
Tomorrows Dream, I dont know if they will use the robot at duke. Did not think to ask them that. Another thing with this afib you actually have to think like a doctor as your second career. My wife and I are planning on a second try if the first one does not work going in. If the first one works that will be icing on the cake.
