Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Went Shark fishing Saturday evening with my GF. After a few hours my rod went off and a short while later it turned out to be a Tiger Shark.
Oddly, the hook set was farther back in the Sharks' mouth than I've seen in a long time. Especially given the fact that I was using circle hooks which set in the corner of the mouth.
In the act of trying to get the hook out, I blinked and the Shark got/bit part of my hand just as I was pulling it away.
Even though I got bit pretty bad, it could've been far worse.
He could've gotten my whole hand and/or I could've been on Coumadin or Warfarin. I surely would've lost a massive amount of blood had I been. As it was I lost quite a bit.
After an antibiotic IV drip in the ER, I was written a 'scrip for an oral antibiotic. These pills are $90.00 for only 20 capsules!!
Shark Week on Discovery is coming up in a little over a week and Sharknado 2 is on SyFy tonight @ 9:00 est. - Tom

Glad to hear you are okay. You might want to get some celox for your next fishing trip. It has been tested with warfarin.
