Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.

So some additional things were rather different this time. They didn't give me a Foley, probably because in the pre-op interview the nurse practitioner was really interested I my leg cramping problem, and I suspect he decided that the leg harness would be a bad idea. So they didn't use one. Without the leg harness, I could pee in the urinal without a problem. That all worked out much better.
I don't have an external monitor. I go back to the EP's office in four weeks and they will read my implant. I feel good, so far things are going well. Hope they stay that way.

I see my EP in a few weeks and they'll dump the data off my imbedded monitor. I do think that this time I've had a success. Hope it stays that way.
