Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Support Group
Atrial fibrillation (AF or afib) is an abnormal heart rhythm (cardiac arrhythmia) which involves the two small, upper heart chambers (the atria). Heart beats in a normal heart begin after electricity generated in the atria by the sinoatrial node spread through the heart and cause contraction of the heart muscle and pumping of blood.
Kelly- Yes, the monitor picked up rates at 130 that I was not feeling on many occasions. Some of the fast rates I could feel, especially at night when I would lie down to go to sleep :)
Best of luck moving forward - it only gets better!!

I had my 6th cardioversion on the 2nd of August. I went to see another highly rated EP in my area on Monday. He gave me a 50% chance of a successful ablation. I'm going to be needing a pacer sooner or later. He gave me the option of going in the hospital and trying Tikosyn, thats not covered by my insurance.Since I have had 3 cardiovesions since Dec. I am sure I will have to do something soon. Not sure what.
