Xarelto can cause rash.

I had a one hour episode four hours after I reset at the hospital. I'm on pins and needles today. Have to go back to work tomorrow and hope I don't get one so I can sleep. I sure hope it won't be like this for long.

Wow, Mark. You have really had a hard time. I hope things get better for you. I'm so glad they took you off Xarelto. Are they consulting with your Ep? WHAT is causing the vision loss? That's scary

Iodine contrast dyes frequently cause rashes on the upper legs and arms and butt. Have you have a recent CT scan?

How did you do today ? Was being back to work OK?

Hang in there Mark, for me the 3 months after my ablation I had lots of episodes, but it did start to settle down eventually. I did not go back to work for a week, which was the recommended time off work and I am glad I took that time.

Still no sleep but did make it to work. Did a little good to get out of the house even though I was a zombie. I hit my left insert site and man is it aching. I've had some good moments today but still had episodes, mostly little bursts,starting at 4:ooam. I hope next week gets better.

Oh boy Mark I am up for an ablation soon. I am getting a little nervous especially after reading your experience. But I am still on track to do it. I hope things get better for you. I will courageously take the plunge because I want to get off these meds that do not work all that well for me. My prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. I think you just need a little more time to recover and heal.

The nurse in the hospital said she thought it may be the Iodine, but the vision problem was the most worrisome. The list for the side effects from the hospital for Xarelto, under the serious section, listed vision problems. They put me on the warfarin, Lovexx shots for five days. If I have to stay on it longer than planned, then may look into switching. But from what I've read and I may be wrong, warfarin has the least side effects.

I got my butt kicked today by a whole bunch of I think pvcs or pacs and felt every single zap and thud, but I didn't have an episode. Right now my heart is beating so good and is so calm, in a moment like this I get hopeful.

With what I have experienced so far and probaly have a ways to go, I would do it again in a "heartbeat", John.

Stop using warfarin and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:

pain, swelling, hot or cold feeling, skin changes, or discoloration anywhere on your body;


sudden and severe leg or foot pain, foot ulcer, purple toes or fingers;


sudden headache, dizziness, or weakness;


unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum), bleeding from wounds or needle injections, any bleeding that will not stop;


easy bruising, purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin;


blood in your urine, black or bloody stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds;


pale skin, feeling light-headed or short of breath, rapid heart rate, trouble concentrating;


dark urine, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);


pain in your stomach, back, or sides;


urinating less than usual or not at all;


numbness or muscle weakness; or


any illness with diarrhea, fever, chills, body aches, or flu symptoms.


Less serious side effects of warfarin may include:

nausea, vomiting, mild stomach pain;


bloating, gas; or


altered sense of taste.

muscle pain;

pain in your arms or legs

As I said, I may be wrong. But so far, no vision loss. Now I'm worried about purple toes and fingers. Wouldn't look too good on stage.
