recommendations...... My daughter is 12 going on 13. She had a Blow up this morning Got really mad at me because She did not want to get up to get ready for school and was running behind! Today is first school dance of the year! So because she did not get done what she had to have done to go to the dance she does not get to go! AM I WRONG? So then she was HATING ON ME! And said she does not want to take the test and does not want to do anything! I know this is just for the moment! NOT my fault she did not get ready! Please tell me I am making the check list as suggested!!!!!! She is a teen now and they told me to follow the check list and if she does not complete it is on her! TELL ME AM I WRONG???????GOD I HATE IT WHEN SHE HATES ME!!!!!!!!!
If you read in my journal you can see that she is on a good road right now with her chances..... The offers she has had over the past few weeks have BLOWN MY MIND!!!! I mean I know she is amazing BUT All the offers keep comming. I have had to get a notebook to keep up. She was offered much more in the way of modeling jobs. I only signed her up to boost her self esteem. TO show her she is beautiful and that not everyone thinks bad of her as she gets picked on alot at school.........
Everything I have worked for has been or her and her sister! Or is this the wrong method? I can't keep giving in to her! This is what they suggest I do.......
I will revisit the issue with her Psychiatrist and her therapist...... And her Dr. And all of you guys???? Who I think would know better than the rest.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Cave once and it will be even harder to stand your ground the next time. You know how things work better than a 12 (or 18) year old, and that's why you get to be the mommy.
There should be a medal that could be awarded to good parents. You would get one.
I know for high school I would leave the house so honestly I could have done a first period class. that was in reaction to I needed time to settle before the classes and be in the setting so it wasn't a shock when things started happening
as for hating school I think thats a normal reaction times 10 plus. it may just be that the things aren't stimulating her mind or that she doesn't get along with the teacher/kids/ setting, you may try to figure out what any one of those are.

If you teenager doesn't think your decisions are sound you can probably bet you're on the right track. Check it out with other parents, or better yet, grandparents.
Kids become terribly selfish during the teen years - not that they weren't selfish before, they just become terrible on top of the selfish. They have a greater ability to make you feel like crap.
It doesn't help that television puts parents down so much. If she keeps acting up, take away the TV, too. Hah! I wish I had.
Be the parent. This too, shall pass.

that and combined with her age I am not really surprized this is happening tho . you are doing just fine I think, but what do I know in the parenting relm.
