One of the things I've found really helpful for arthritis in my thumbs is getting ultrasound treatments. They're cheap and painless and make my thumbs stronger and they feel better. Just wanted to share in case it might help another.

That sounds interesting, where do u go for this type of treatment?

Physiotherapists do this. I go to one for lower back pain and sciatica.
They are quite expensive if you don't have private insurance.

I had ultrasound on my shoulder at Physical Therapy place and it was helpful BUT it was all through having a prescription from a doctor and had to pay co payments. They only allowed me so many treatments under insurance.

I would love to have ultrasound for my various pain areas but got to have prescription as far as I know.

I don't think you can walk into a place and just get it.
