Docs are fighting over my diagnoses. The doc that originally dxed me with scoliosis left practice for a better job. Docs first told me it was scoliosis now they are telling me its degenerative arthritis in the lumbar. Looking to get an MRI done soon to get into the pain management clinic we have here at our town. Looking for all the support I can get! I am a young-in at turning 30. Arthritis at 30? How is this possible?

Welcome to DS. I hate to say this but it is possible. I came down with OA in my knees at 17 years old. 33 years later I just had my first knee replacement. I hope you get some answers soon. The wait can be endless.

I agree, there is no set time to develop arthritis. I was 11yrs old when I developed osteomylitis which became arthritis in the hands. Now at the age of 57 I have arthritis in the neck, hands, spine, hipsand ankles,and have had a hip replacement. I don't think it ever really goes away but the pain is controllable and range of motion exercises help, plus heat and anti-inflammatory drugs. Mimi

I am 28 and my knee arthristis came around 25ish. Sadly it's a condition where doctors like to tell people it only comes at old age but that is crap. I hope you get a good pm doc they are hard to find, I have been to 2 and they both sucked. If you don't like him use this site and see if you can find someone you like better

I agree, there's a reason our joints are wearing out prematurely. For me it started back around 1973. I was18 that summer.

I think I'm going to do some research to see when doctors started diagnosing so many with osteoarthritis when they aren't even 20 years old.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
