I started taking Zoloft 4 evenings ago. I absolutely hate the way it makes me feel (racing thoughts, can't pay attention, depressed, emotionallu numb, etc.). I've taken SSRIs in the past that much more effective. However, Zoloft was my only option because I am breastfeeding. I called my doctor's nurse yesterday and she said I do not need to taper since I took it for such a short amount of time. However, when I tried to skip the 4th dose last night, my heart began racing, so I took the 4th dose to get me through the night. My doctor isn't in the office today but I plan to go talk to her about this tomorrow. I am hoping to get off of the Zoloft very soon, so my question is - what are some recommendations for nonmedical anxiety treatments?
