Anybody have any experience with Zoloft? I just starting taking it a week ago when my pcp switched me from Lexapro. I had been taking 10 mg of Lexapro every day and while it took the edge off my anxiety, it upset my already sensitive stomach and caused excessive sweating. Anyway, just wondering how others experienced Zoloft. Maybe it's work, but I feel tired alllll the time. I take my meds in the morning but I thought today of taking Zoloft at night?

Good for you for following up with your doctor and making a medication change. You are on your way to feeling better!!

I know 2 people who take Zoloft, and it has really helped them, A LOT. The dosage is different than Lexapro, so don't be thrown off by that. One person I know takes 100 mgs Zoloft per day, and my psychiatrist said it can be prescribed for over 500 mgs a day.

How many milligrams are you on, to start?

Yes, take it at night if you think it's making you sleepy. I had not heard of sleepiness being a side effect, but even if it is, it will wear off after a couple weeks.

These SSRI medications take about a month to 6 weeks to fully work. Please take it as your doctor has prescribed it, don't miss any days, and you should be feeling a lot better real soon!! Please keep us updated.

I swear by Zoloft! I take 100 mg twice a day. Give it time.

Thanks guys! I’ve started out on 50 mg - and yes the dosage difference made me nervous at first as well. I took Lexapro for about 4 months, so we’ll see how Zoloft goes.

I have heard really, really amazingly good things about Zoloft. I hope it helps you! Like GreenEyes said, you have to give it time. These SSRI medications take so long to start working!! I don't know why that is, but that part can be annoying. Just know that it is working and maybe something to look forward to - like, it's working itself more and more each day and I can't wait for the 4-6 weeks to get here, yay!

No, 50 mgs isn't a lot.

Zoloft works well when it fits. Here's to keeping a daily journal to include liquid and food, and using that to help you figure out what works best when.

Really important to know if you are hydration sensitive, and keeping a base hydration level that works best for you.

    I did the dumbest thing today.  I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds.  I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym.  What a dummy!
