Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I want to remind you that your feelings are valid. I’ve been seeing those videos lately that state things that “people with _____ mental health condition” feel about their condition or symptoms they want people to be aware of. While I think these videos can be helpful and relatable, I also want to remind everyone that anxiety is a very broad term with so many different symptoms under it. There is no one mold for symptoms- there are so many different ways of experiencing it. Your feelings are valid whatever they are, whether or not a video or individual describes them well. My point is anxiety is not a “cookie cutter”; it produces different effects in everyone (though some people may experience similar symptoms). I’m certainly not trying to say there’s no purpose for diagnosis; I believe anxiety is a real condition, and there are some who have it and some who do not. But I also believe that among those who have it, symptoms vary significantly.
Thank you. I hope this helps someone out. Prayers.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
So, thank you for this acknowledgement and encouragement!!
P.S.: I've learned this knowledge(what I stated above)through the yr.s as I did my own therapeutic work.
