Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hiii all. Long time user of this site and anxiety/panic sufferer. I am hoping to seek some advice and support on this issue I'm debating. Long story short, work has been complete hell. I am a teacher at a charter school. I complained and reported a guy at work who was being inappropriate with me ( he was touch feely & left the classroom unattended many times. I reported this to admin. Nothing was done. A month passes and he reports me for sexual harrasment and claimed I said I wanted to sleep with him. I was put on leave and under investigation. This lasted a month. I got a lawyer and nothing could be done..I was reinstated but was moved to another building to teach 7th grade. I was never apologized to and this guy is still working happy as a lark. I should mention he's a long term substitute! I am xonaconsta having panic attacks and anxiety. I dread each day and hate the 7th grade. I'm thinking of resigning for the sake of my mental health. I wanted to see if that's a good idea or keep moving forward...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

I am not saying leave. I am saying you have to find the point that is too much for you and then decide what is the right move for you after that.
If you feel sick to your stomach thinking about going to work, like I did, it is time for a change.
You will have to make a decision every single moment to stay in the moment, and do what works best for you. Since the investigation slanted in your co-worker's benefit, you know that you have to make changes that work for you.
1. You are responsible for what you say, do, and how you react. You practice in front of mirror different ways to respond positively and use those tools to keep calm, balanced, and comfortable in difficult situations.
2. Just because someone says something does NOT make it your problem. Use responses that work for you, even if it's just a smile and walk away. (One coworker said she was able to picture walking away, even though she was standing still ... and the bully was displaying behavior that everyone observed, and because she kept quiet, they had to deal with it ... )
3. Find your strength and give it a name to help you stand strong.
You are not alone. Best wishes.
