Okay, so I have depression and have struggles with anxiety too.
In my personal life I’m quite shy until you get to know me. I avoid fronting people on a daily basis ie ...ordering food/drinks, answering or making phone calls etc whenever possible. I avoid uneasy situations but simple tasks like getting out of the house causes me intense feelings of panic and dread at times.

Hope you find things easier someday soon
When I was in school, I did take vistaril for anxiety and occasionally I do but not much anymore.
I guess it is a type of mask but not a problem for me. I just work to do better in social situations and look for groups that I can feel comfortable in when off work. It helps me
