Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Bullies are never the 'secure' people, they're never the people who 'have it all'. If they're bothering you, or trying to make you feel bad, then they're dealing with something that likely has nothing to do with you.
You're at a job, you're all there to work. If they're taking time out of their day to harm you emotionally, then they aren't getting their jobs done right. You should talk to whoever you can at work, a boss or manager or HR department if it's getting to be too much.
I'm sorry you're going through this, but it isn't your fault. I hope things get better!
Thanks so much for your advice
You've taken the important first step in writing it out.
In the workplace, it is important to keep your words, actions, response, and reactions, positive and professional. You are responsible for what you say, do, react, and respond. You are NOT responsible for what others say, do, react, and respond.
When you change your response to fit your well-being, it often results in their response being worse, and then it will get better.
You can do this!
I'm still trying to outgrow my Jr Hi social anxiety. I've had more than one phase of my 66 years when I was sure I was **over ^it^**, but. . . The meanest lies in the world are the ones I tell myself.
When I let that Jr Hi awkwardness be okay, it makes it allot easier to hold steady through the adult versions of Jr Hi. Yes, Ma'am/Sir, I'm sure you are fully mature. "Fully Mature" is as good a name for ^it^ as any.
Don't know if I'm making sense, or not. I mostly wanted to welcome you aboard. Hope you find stabilizing companionship here.
When you close yourself off they are sensing that so you are kind of creating a wedge and sort of out casting yourself.
If they ganged up on you or are bullying you take it up with HR. But if it’s a situation where because you are all high strung and opinionated, I think it’s important to reflect on whether it was just a moment of bad judgement by everyone or truly a toxic situation.
If you isolate yourself from your coworkers, they going to talk about you, I guarantee. So I say kill ‘em with confidence, kindness and maturity.
And yes they are ALL talking behind my back now.
Thank you guys for all the positive feedback and suggestions and support. I’m really enjoying this chat.
Should I be ashamed of myself for having gotten an evil grin or three from playing with the gossips? It's just **too** easy. Legends have been born of less.
