However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hi all, I've been a trich sufferer since I was a teen but now I'm approaching 50 and it's through the roof. It could be a combination of menopause and the fact that my oldest daughter is starting college soon (worried about her being gone and money). But the biggest thing is I live with a high-functioning alcoholic (we've been together 25 years, married 18, and have two teenage daughters). 'm convinced that my trich is anxiety induced and brought about mostly from his binge drinking and being a mean drunk on the weekends. I am just not equpipped to deal with him anymore. Would anyone recommend using an anti-anxiety medication for trich or have you been there, done that? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Anxiety is natural. If your trich is a marker of your anxiety level, then using a journal will help you to reset your thought patterns and actions patterns to keep your hands busy, your mind balanced, and staying hydrated will help you get your resting anxiety level back within a normal range fast naturally.
Use of medication is temporary and can be helpful. One fact to remember is that you are NOT responsible for what anyone else says or does. You are responsible for you choose to say and do. When you change your response to fit your well-being the usual response from others no longer fits and changes.
Best wishes.
