Hey guys!
I have been getting over one of the biggest anxiety fits of my life. Just a month of pure fear, heart palpitations, crying.. just painful.
Lately, I have been feeling so much better. I make myself face my triggers, Im doing what I can. There is just one wild issue.. I am scared to sleep. I dont want to take naps, i dont want to sleep at night. I am terrified. Im so scared if I sleep at any time, that I wont wake up. I have no idea where this came from. I force myself to take melatonin or unisom, just to help me sleep.
As it is, I am a gamer. So i stay up late and sleep some what late. Usually im asleep by 4am and up by 11 because my dog wakes me up.
The other day though, I woke up at 1pm. I usually do not sleep that late. Being sick didnt cross my mind either on why I slept so late. So my first thought was "OMG I almost didnt wake up." I sleep 2 hours late and instantly think, I really almost didnt wake up.
I am not sure where it comes from but it KILLS me. I used to LOVE sleep and naps. I just dont know what to do. I have my first session with the new therapist next week so hopefully she talks to me with that.

Jay's podcasts are really good. I watch them on YouTube for free. Today, I watched his video about motivation. In fact, I've been watching a few videos on this subject. Jay gave us an assignment to complete the following sentence: I am stuck because? I don't describe myself as stuck, but to finish the sentence, I would say that I am stuck because I am tired. When I have energy, I do...
Sometimes, our sleep gets out of whack and our anxiety works to fix it...and instead, we find ourselves going in a different direction.
Try a night time routine to settle your brain before rest. Keep it simple and see what works to help you change pace.
You're going to find what works, and you're stronger than you realize. Best wishes.
You keep on healing to 100%!
Keep on stepping and keep us posted.
And yes, keep us posted. Perhaps there are tips you can share with us who also suffer anixiety.
