Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Because of anxiety?
Lately (working from home on the sofa probably isn't helping) I've been suffering with back pains every time I wake up (it comes and goes throughout my life). But it's been dreadful, shoulders aching, lower back pain. I've been doing yoga videos etc but it's not improving.
I also have Bruxism (teeth grinding - thanks anxiety) but that means I have a lot of shoulder and neck pain. I'm just wondering how much is anxiety related, because the past two weeks I've been a little better than the previous few.
Does anyone else suffer with physical ailments like this or similar to this? I usually have a massive weight in my chest, but it seems to be resting between my shoulders at the moment instead.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

Generally I have muscle tightness and wake up in pain every morning, I get neck aches...and lower back aches from sleeping like a pretzel I also clench my teeth-I hold my breath-my leg may jiggle, My eye might twitch. I could develop stomach problems, I sometimes feel like I am getting the flu. I can feel the adrenaline rush and my heart might pound and my heartrate goes way high...if my bp goes up I can feel it in my ears as pressure. I might get suddenly hot or chilled, I might get nauseous. I might dry heave or start retching....yup, good times!!!
The breathe in through nose, and out through mouth, and in through nose and out through nose also provides the loosening of the tensed muscles.
The hand shaking and leg twitching I have to lay down or stand next to wall. Leaning into wall back side often gives me relief while the "attack" naturally disappears. I have had to push my hands together firmly to help.
The weight feeling often releases with the gentle motion and getting hydrated.
Best wishes and hope this helps.
@hypergal I agree it’s like whack-a-mole.. I think I too sleep like a pretzel
