I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I get having this sort of built in dread when you've experienced a lot of medical trauma either yourself or with loved ones. But I also think people are responsible for their own health and how they choose to navigate it but in your case, maybe it makes sense to just have an open direct convo with your husband that him dragging his feet creates a lot of worry for you, the impact it would have on you and your daughter if something were to happen, etc.
It’s really hard not to not have reactions based on past experiences but the past is the past. Nothing to be done with what has happened in the past. All you can do is deal with what’s happening now in the present, one thing at a time, and manage that which you have control over.
I think sometimes we have to let stuff go. If Gareth has difficult days, we'll find something to do to keep your mind off of it. Clean out a drawer, a closet, go for a walk, do something.
We just changed doctors, husband and myself. After much talk from me, we have joined ourselves on the medical app so he can see my results and I can see his. He is almost blind so this helps and he now is diabetic. And his test results from Tuesday show really bad about one of his organs. It is scary and I know he gets scared but instead it comes out as grumpy and mean.
The new doctor will call him very likely. Maybe one of his medicines is the problem or who knows but I had to stop myself from having emotions about this when telling him. At first, he denied, denied, denied. I had other things to do like clean the floors and so I got busy and was able to stop fretting until just now writing this.
sigh. . .
once more i am wishing for easy answers for both of us. why can't love be as simple as watching a chick flick?
