My brother and I visited our Aunt today.  I hadn't been able to get there for a few weeks.  She looked horrible.  She could barely eat the food I brought her.  She mumbled on and on.  We couldn't understand much of what she was saying.  She kept asking for help.  I told her that I couldn't help her and she said that I could mentally and at one point, I think she called me stupid.  She is on Hospice and has been for a few months.  Her daughter is her medical power of attorney and has asked Hospice not to release any information to anyone but her.  However, she doesn't share much to anything.  She threw a big party a few weeks ago for her mother but we couldn't make it, though we tried but the time got switched and we had plans to go to dinner with a friend for my brother's birthday.  I'm ready for my Aunt to go to Heaven.  My brother feels the same way.  She has been bedridden for 4 years.  After seeing her today, we want her out of her misery.  She used to be fun and feisty, although she always had personal problems and delusions of people stealing from her.  She is just a shell of that person now.  Godspeed Aunt Margie!
