Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hello everyone, Here is an update on my life. I am the one with the three stressors all happening at once.
First stressor closing out my moms estate. Is ok. Im able to put it on the back burner to deal with it later.
Second stressor my sons job we don't know yet. He is seeing a therapist which I am grateful for. It takes the load off of me.
Third stressor my husbands heart health He has the defininitive test on Wednesday and I am experiencing an increase in anxiety. Able to sleep 6 hours, but wake up in the early morning unable to fall back iasleep. I had a therapist appointment two weeks and explained everything and what I have been doing. He said I am doing good using all the techniques to help me manage it.
Now with this increase in anxiety, it concerns me and I have thoughts like I don't know if I can go to the hospital with him, just too anxious. And can I make it through the waiting. (We have made plans for the day ie daughter will meet me at the hospital, so I am not alone).
I am trying to concentrate on getting through the week but then if one thing changes , I see it as added work and it stresses me.
I continue to mediate, exercise, pray, and gratitude. I was able to read about self compassion and that helped me relax last night.
Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

Keep writing it out as you need to, in a journal. It's easier to see the pattern of thought and figure out ways to distract that to help stay "in the moment" focus.
Do what you need to do. Go to the hospital. Bring distraction items in a bag. Stay hydrated. Be focused on "now".
Best wishes with everything. One thing at a time.
Try to do what you can do and let’s trust God that He is working behind the scenes of your life. He is an ever-present help in times of troubles. I pray for God’s peace be upon you and He will strengthen you as you walk in this journey.
Remember, you are not alone because we are here for you. Keep us posted. Writing down your feelings in your journal is also a good way to relieve you. It works for me every time I need to express my emotions. I hope it will work for you as well. Take care of yourself. God bless.
My husband had his angiogram today. Great news!
Everything looked good. There is one area which could possibly use a stent , since it is not bothering him the doctor did not see a need to fix it. Thankful to our God for a great outcome.
I have not been sleeping well for the past 4-5 nights last night I could not sleep at all. So I did not go to the hospital today. I just could not be in the intensive care unit with out sleeping. My husband was well supported with a good friend and our kids. I helped behind the scenes
with texting and coordinating.
I feel a little guilty about my daughter being Put in the position of talking the the cardiologist. She was initially upset about this. I coached her via texts and she did fine. She said he was easy to talk to. So I guess it all worked out.
Thanks to all of you for your comments. They helped as I have read them many times.
