Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
In my session with my therapist yesterday, she said that I have a shopping addiction and that I have to avoid triggers, such as being close to a Goodwill or watching thrifting videos. She also advised me to stay away from others with shopping addictions. I stayed home all day yesterday. I only had a slight urge to go to Goodwill on their best sale day. I am also staying away from Facebook Marketplace. I took 4 things back to Kohl's but now I have a credit of $13.67. I should see if my brother wants to use the credit.

Do you know about Care Credit? I had to use it last year for the chiropractor who specialized in bladder problems. My bill was $5,880. My monthly payment started out at $175 but went down every month. Fast forward to this past summer, I had dental work that cost $2,544. Again, I used Care Credit. With Care Credit, you have two years to pay off your bill with no finance charges. I...

If the work issues were not enough, I have so many health issues. It looks like I may have a heart problem. I'm scheduled to go in the operating room at the end of the month to determine once and for all if I have what is called a PFO-a small hole in the heart that you are born with that causes blood clots to pass through the left and right atria, and go up to the brain. They think this is what...

for what it's worth
i've known quite a few shopping addicts who have benefited mightily from alanon.
Sometimes I think of an older work friend who passed away about 8 years ago. She told me she wished she had not gone shopping every Saturday morning to Stein Mart, if anyone had these stores in their area. She told me save your money because now I am older, had a stroke, and can't work, and need all that money I wasted on clothes, shopping, going out to eat. She and I were cute clothing friends, meaning we both loved fashion. When I get the urge to buy more clothes, I remember what she told me.
I took my two trash bags full over to the donation place yesterday. Fleece throws that I don't like, some clothing that has polyester in it and I can't wear it without getting super hot, wasted money.
I took my books back to the outdoor library drop box as the library is closed. I am trying to not buy books any more and just check them out from the library.
These are my two bad passions.
