Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

But I am only guessing. . . Again, I would ask her directly if I really wanted to know.
My guess is based on the fact that I have a well established herstory of repressing my emotions. My shrinks turned out to be right on this score. I now believe that I wasn't fooling anybody but myself when I repressed my emotions. Working so hard to fool myself made me seriously unstable.
I stopped my therapy due to SW falling asleep when I was talking
To process the 'experience' of surgery is to work out your feelings, emotions, thoughts, and words.
Big difference in the two ways-one is to help heal the 'hurt' within that is NOT taken care of by the surgery itself, but through your willingness to work through the entire process and the feelings associated.
Example: I had the choice of surgery for my ankle pain when two different surgical procedures would have to be done with the possible result that neither procedure would be effective in reducing the pain I was incurring.
I was told to give the one injury a year to heal and then consider surgery if it still required surgery. The other injury is still healing.
In the therapy session, the reason the injury happened was processed, the reason for the surgery was processed, and the option of waiting a year was also processed-at home, on my own, through a series of homework assignments on each of the sections.
The therapist is probably giving you the starting point to help you choose how you want to work through the experience.
Best wishes.
Bay, did you report the SW falling asleep? That's wrong of them to do that.
