Anxiety Support Group

However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

My therapist keeps messaging me asking for me to change my appointment. This is the 4th time and it's making me uncomfortable. The last 3 times I agreed because I can't say no. But this appointment time works really well with my schedule. I haven't answered her yet because I have no idea what to do. She seems to be a good therapist but this factor worries me. I have only just started seeing her. This would be my 3rd appointment this week. Can anyone give me their opinion?

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. Just opining. . . You are the one with your finger on the pulse and all the inside data.
Gentle support while you sort.
If it was me, I would say something like " I wanted to talk to you about something. I know we just started working together, but I have noticed there seem to be problems with my appointment time.... as my appointment time needed to be changed 4 times recently, and the problem with it changing so much, is it's difficult for me to arrange my schedule."
This way, you are using "I" statements, and she should then say something about why she keeps changing the times, or what the problem is on her end.
Good luck.
If changing the appointment does upset you enough to lose confidence in the therapist, let the therapist know using "I". If scheduling conflicts persist, then further discussion is necessary to take changing your appointment time off the table.
Best wishes.
