General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Does anyone else ever get the feeling that you're going to hang in one place for the rest of your life?
Lately it's all I can think about and it's terrifying.
I'm in sort of a difficult situation at the moment with my fiance. A lot of you guys have heard me talk about it before; my long distance relationship.
Right now, I'm trying to graduate college which is really the only thing holding me back from moving in with my fiance.
At the same time, I almost feel like we're growing apart.
I've become increasingly depressed over the past month and a half and I don't know if things will ever be the same.
I love him and I know I want to marry him, but I don't feel right about anything anymore.
I'm constantly trying to put on a brave face for everyone around me and pretend like the distance doesn't bother me or have any affect on our relationship, but I know it does.
The last couple of days we spent together during a recent visit were absolutely beautiful, but it isn't always like that.
The first couple of days can be very awkward for me. I don't want to do much and I begin to feel very estranged. I wish I didn't feel like this because he's my best friend and he makes me happier than anyone else.
I have to get my depression and my anxiety under control before things get much worse...and I need help.

First, establish a fast relax routine to get in the moment and leave the anxiety out of the moment.
Second, switching places is a simple transition for your mind, as long as you give yourself time and permission to process the changes, and continue in the moment.
This type of depression can be helped with regular schedule and in school, it's a matter of scheduling regular time to move to reduce the heavy anxiety from overloading your thinking.
Best wishes.
1) Making relaxation and peace of mind a priority. Tea, a warm bath, meditating, avoiding the news or intense tv shows and focusing on the positive and uplifting. Exercise and going for walks on nice days helps too.
2) For anxiety, Propranalol seems to helps me without making me sleepy or groggy. It's cheap and well-proven.
3) Watching my diet and sticking with healthy foods 80% of the time helps. That means, for me, mostly veggies, some meats, some fruits. No gluten or dairy and very few sweets. Fats are okay - coconut oil and olive oil. Obviously, what you need to eat may be different but I'm hearing a lot of positives about the blood type diet.
4) Getting tested for the MTHFR gene mutation and treating it with folate helped enormously. It got rid of my anxiety and depression, irritable bowel, arthritis and it's helping my headaches.
I'm investigating a new program that my doctor suggested to me. I can't recommend it as I haven't tried it yet, but this may be interesting to look into: http://www.ebt.org/
Also, EFT has helped me quite a bit: http://eft.mercola.com/
Some of the treatments look a little weird but we really don't know all that much about how the brain works. I've been shocked at how well EFT works.
Hope you find some answers that you need. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy might also be helpful.
