My life has never been tightly structured according to days of the week, but anticipation anxiety always has been a HUGE problem for me. It brings out my Inner Doomsayer with all her dreadful what if scenarios.
Distraction is my front line coping tool. Finding something light and relaxing to do is often all I need. When that doesn't work, I move on to positive affirmations where I remind myself a good outcome is as likely as a negative outcome. If those don't work, I move on to the heavy artillery. This very post could be a good example of "heavy artillery." Sharing about my anxiety within my therapy support network helps me to feel less alone and often even nets me new tools to try.

I also have my first appt with a new doc tomorrow over telehealth and that isn’t helping my anxiety at all. I want to see people face to face.
