I keep going to the national suicide hotline website thinking I will get the courage to start a chat. However, I find more hope in just writing it out on DS. Thanks everyone for letting me rant. Many of you have heard my story of losing my husband, 13 yr career and home in 2020. Now stuck in a crap job with money issues and not sure how to begin again (sigh)
Most days I try to find things to be grateful for: my health, health of aging mom, a working vehicle that's fully paid, a roof over my head last night, ability to read/write, strong faith. Seems the more I write with gratitude the smaller my stressors become and then life isn't so overwhelming (step by step)

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

practicing gratitude helps me allot, too. however dismal my circumstance of the day, there are always things around me worthy of appreciation. the more i practice, the easier it is to be sincerely grateful. practice, practice, practice, ESPECIALLY on the days i have to fake it till i make it.
And yeah it’s a practice for sure. Some days I feel defiant about it but I get there eventually. Some days I fight it all the way until I surrender to it, and then, AHHH… relief and release.
