Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hi guys, I don't really have a story to tell, but there's just something that I've tried understanding and I can't really do it. I've tried making friends (And I think I'm relatively good at it), but there are some problems I have, specifically when it comes to keeping them. For whatever reason, all my friends feel like they distance themselves from me after a while, and I just wish I knew how to keep friends interested or how to stay connected with them. I guess part of it is that it's my freshman year of college, and because of COVID, I've only met a handful of people, almost all of whom are introverts. It's not that I don't like them, but it's hard to get them to do things. I just really don't know how to maintain strong friendships, because even when I'm given the chance to do things, I sometimes hesitate to do them, which I think drives people off. I don't really know, it just feels like I try to find friends and it never really works out for me

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Being friendly allows you to meet and chat with people of all different types.
I am another who looks for social activities more than "friends," but? ? ? Is real time socializing still legal? Will it ever be again? Year two of 2020 and no end in sight.
Gentle empathy, Marcus. Wish I had easy answers for all of us.
Healing hopes for all. No exceptions.
Your first year of college is supposed to be a fabulous life-changing time filled with memories and new experiences and friends and I know that things are so different now.
I say that I agree with the other people. Try to find activities that people will be at versus finding friends and trying to get everybody, including yourself onboard to do activities.
I have a question for you, are you the type of person that's able to just get up and go and do social stuff?
or do you sometimes get a lot of anxiety right before a planned social event, check out at the last minute, etc.?
I go through a lot of similar feelings.
Sometimes I feel very bad when I cancel or don't accept invitations.
