Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I've always been curious about how a person can wake up in a panic attack?
Christmas morning I could tell my anxiety was on high when I woke up so I tried to think happy thoughts and it was like someone else was interrupting me with terrible comments. For example, I was thinking about those grocery stores that do curb side pick up and I was wondering how you order bananas. Can you just pick one banana or do you have to order them by the pound? The next thing I know, it was like someone shouted "malignant tumor" right into my ear. It actually startled me. Then the panic attack started. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
You are stronger than you realize, since you were able to see it was a panic attack.
That sounds kinda like what my shrinks have called, "Intrusive Thoughts." I kinda like that name for ^it^. By whatever name, in my own case, the phenom can daisy chain to the Outer Limits and? ? ? Dunno if I've completed the return trip yet, but hopefully that is to the Outer Limits and Back.
Somehow the panic attacks seem like a natural by-product of my mind jumping from bananas to malignant tumors at the speed of a neural pulse. All too often, it really does feel like my physical senses are jumping with that neural pulse. ^It^ remains a WTF moment for me, every time. Radical acceptance has made it easier to ply therapy tools to my intrusive thoughts and their unfortunate side effects, but I still wish for a cure often enough to try Snake Oil every now and again.
Maybe try to nail down your triggers and work on changing your reaction to them. Try not to google your symptoms for a while, read into the anxiety instead and it's causes, maybe that can refocus your energy.
