Anybody else feel like just one good night of sleep will fix everything?
Every night, I have the intentions to lay down and sleep. I'm exhausted enough every night that I'm running on empty before I leave work. But I either can't fall asleep, wake up many times a night, or wake up early. And most of the time it's all of the above.
I know that my mind is just telling myself that it'll be okay if I get enough sleep for once, but it'll only scratch the surface of my issues. I feel like everything is in such a state that I can't tell anything apart from the other anymore. They've melted together to create a ball of emotion that is running through the roller coaster of my life. And I'm scared where it'll end - if it doesn't crash somewhere.
Thanks to anyone who reads this. Just writing it down felt a relief off my chest.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
"Once and for all" is one of the phrases which is burned into my own psychoses(pl). It is my birth family motto. Whatever ails, there is a "Once and For All" solution. One stop, microwave fixes for everything. It has been decades since I estranged myself from my birth family, but the once-and-for-all mantra still pops into my more psychotic moments on a routine basis.
Sigh. . . Plying therapy tools. . .
I have nights where I wander the hall, where I fall asleep to jerk awake suddenly, and there are nights when sleep is full of movement due to the movie playing full surround in my head.
Once I started a routine to clear my mind of 'business' and calm the body into 'relax' mode, it became easier to get the process moving.
Best wishes finding what works for you.
