Right now I am also having sinus problems and my period. I have been having anxiety but only for a minute or two. I have been telling myself this is normal and a part of my sinus and poeriod and then it _anxiety goes away.

Hi all, I just joined these forums because of this exact topic :) I have Social Anxiety and also year round sinus/allergy issues. I wanted to share a few things I had found. The first is a DEFINATE correlation between my immune system and my anxiety level. So what I do is take SPECIFIC antihistamines to help with this. I say specific because ones like clariton or most other non-drowsy ones make my anxiety sky rocket due to making me very hyperactive and my mind race. I have great results by rotating two different ones(your body gets used to it afer about 3-4 weeks). I use a half pill of Benedryl every 4 hrs for about 3 weeks and then switch to a half pill of "chlorpheniramine maleate" the Pharmacy by me (starts with CV... has their own brand of it for CHEAP and also Walmar...does as well.) The rotating keeps it always working for ya. The last thing I wanted to mention is that when my allergies are acting up my veins bulge a lot. I speculate that maybe up in my brain or somewhere this extra swelling could be having an effect causing the anxiety. Also I have read that histamine acts as a neurotransmitter(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histamine) so it possibly causes some difficulty for people with anxiety which also is centered around neurotransmition.
